On-site service is $85 for the first hour and $65 for each hour after that, billed in 15-minute increments. If the equipment has to come back to the shop, Ben gives you a flat-rate estimate before any work begins, so you always know the price up front.

Do you come to my home or business?

Yes. NeedBen is an on-site service — Ben comes to you throughout Bluffton, Hilton Head Island, Sun City Hilton Head, Okatie, Hardeeville, Beaufort, Port Royal, Lady's Island and Ridgeland SC, plus Savannah, Pooler, Port Wentworth and Rincon GA. Some repairs are faster in the shop, and Ben will tell you when that is the case.

What if my computer can't be repaired?

Ben will tell you straight away and explain why. Rather than sinking money into a machine that is not worth saving, he will walk you through your replacement options, and he can source, set up and transfer your data to a new machine for you.

Do you work on both Windows PCs and Macs?

Yes — Windows 10 and 11, macOS, Chromebooks, iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets. Ben also supports printers, scanners, Wi-Fi networks, smart TVs, streaming devices and smart-home equipment.

How fast can you get here?

In Bluffton, Sun City and Okatie, same-day or next-day appointments are common. Hilton Head Island is usually within a day or two. Beaufort, Port Royal, Lady's Island and the Georgia-side cities are scheduled in grouped runs, so call and Ben will give you the next available window.

Can you help me with something over the phone or remotely?

Often, yes. Many software problems, settings changes and quick questions can be handled with remote support, which saves you a trip charge and gets you running faster.

Does turning off auto-brightness hurt my battery?

It uses slightly more battery, because the phone stops lowering brightness in dim rooms. Most people find the tradeoff well worth it.

Why does my screen dim while using GPS navigation?

Navigation with the screen on is one of the most heat-intensive things a phone does, especially mounted on a windshield in the sun. That is thermal dimming. Moving the mount out of direct sun and taking the case off while charging both help.

My screen dims right after I unlock it. Why?

On iPhone that is usually Attention Aware Features, which dims when it does not detect you looking at the screen. Turn it off in Settings under Face ID & Attention.
